1. The Marketplace
AquaBidz provides a venue for independent sellers to list items and for buyers to purchase them. Unless stated otherwise, AquaBidz is not the seller of listed items.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Bidding and Purchases
Bids are binding offers to buy. The winning bidder agrees to complete payment promptly.
4. Seller Obligations
Sellers must describe items honestly, comply with applicable laws on the sale and shipment of live animals, and follow the Shipping & DOA Policy.
5. Fees
Sellers pay a 5% commission plus a card processing fee (currently 2.9% + 30¢ via Stripe) per order, deducted from their earnings. New sellers pay 0% commission for their first 30 days, and live-show sales carry 0% commission; the card processing fee applies to all orders and is split between sellers in proportion to their share of a multi-seller checkout. Details are on the Become a Seller page; fees may change with notice. Sellers who buy shipping labels through AquaBidz pay the label price shown at purchase, which is deducted from their payout for that order; AquaBidz may earn a margin on shipping labels purchased through the platform.
6. Prohibited Items
Prohibited items include items that are illegal to sell or ship, wild-collected species where prohibited, and anything restricted by carriers.
