Care Guide

Bring it home the right way.

A friendly starting point for acclimating and caring for new arrivals. Always research each species’ specific needs.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Float

Float the sealed bag in your tank or a container of tank water for about 15 minutes to match temperature.

๐Ÿ’ง

Drip or Add Water Slowly

Gradually mix tank water into the bag over 30โ€“60 minutes so the animal adjusts to your water chemistry.

๐Ÿชธ

Dip Corals

Use a reef-safe coral dip to reduce hitchhiking pests before corals go into your display.

๐Ÿ”ฆ

Keep Lights Low

Keep lights dimmed for the first day to reduce stress, especially for fish.

๐Ÿงช

Quarantine

A separate quarantine tank is the best defense against introducing disease or pests.

๐Ÿ“ˆ

Stability Wins

Stable temperature, salinity, alkalinity and nutrients matter more than chasing perfect numbers.

Quick Reference by Group

SPS Corals

High light, strong flow, very stable parameters. Best for established systems.

LPS Corals

Moderate light and flow. Give tentacles room โ€” some species sting their neighbors.

Soft Corals & Mushrooms

Hardy and forgiving, great for newer tanks. Some spread quickly.

Zoanthids & Palythoa

Colorful and easy, but handle with gloves and eye protection โ€” some contain potent toxins.

Fish

Research adult size, temperament and diet. Add peaceful fish before territorial ones.

Anemones & Clams

Need mature, stable systems and strong lighting. Anemones can move โ€” cover pump intakes.
